Who We Are

Champlain Trust, PLC, was formed in 2014 by two experienced trust and tax attorneys as an option for wealthy families who want a truly independent and responsive professional Trustee.

Champlain Trust works with qualified independent financial advisers typically chosen by the Settlor or Beneficiaries to manage marketable securities. Champlain Trust is well-suited to administer unique assets held in-trust such as closely-held business interests, residential and commercial real estate, life insurance and collectibles, with the help of business and property managers typically chosen by the client. With Champlain Trust you can expect excellent responsive service and communication, good balanced judgement for distributions to beneficiaries, and tax-savvy administration – all for a very competitive Trustee’s fee.
